MIDDLETOWN – As the Hudson Valley Mountaineers put the finishing touches on Sunday’s dismantling of the Glens Falls Greenjackets, the defending Empire Football League champions, linebacker Brandon Easter started to prepare for a moment many never saw coming.
The team’s first-ever home win deserved a raucous celebration, one as emphatic as the 44-0 result showing on the Faller Field scoreboard. In the postgame madness, the players ambushed owner Darrial Kouhout with a Gatorade bath and doused head coach Dave Alterio a few minutes later.
