SAUQUOIT — For the second straight week in Empire Football League action, the Plattsburgh North Stars came up short.
The Utica Yard Dogs (2-0) defeated the North Stars (0-2), 34-26, Saturday at Sauquoit Stadium.
“I thought we played a much better football game all-around this week,” Plattsburgh coach Scott Aguglia said.
With the loss, the North Stars are 0-2 for the first time since 2007.
Plattsburgh lost 26-20 last week to Hudson Valley in its season opener.
“It’s definitely a good, competitive league,” Aguglia said.
