MASSENA — Joe Brennan tied Al Countryman’s franchise record for career rushing touchdowns and the Watertown Red and Black routed the Seaway Valley Venom, 67-0, to end its Empire Football League regular season Saturday night at Massena High School.
The Red and Black (6-4 overall) will finish either third or fourth in the EFL standings, depending on the results of next Saturday’s games involving other teams, and has secured a first-round home playoff game on Oct. 8 barring an unforeseen change at the league’s annual year-end meeting when playoff pairings become official.
