GLENS FALLS - Slamming the door with emphasis — three sacks on the final three plays of the game — the Glens Falls Greenjackets held on for a nail-biting victory Saturday night.

Backed up to their own 20 with two minutes to play, the Jackets’ defense pinned its ears back to protect a 14-10 lead over the first-place Watertown Red & Black.

Kendall Converse, Raquan Sanders and 6-foot-6, 270-pound St. Joseph Coore were involved in all three sacks of Watertown quarterback Keanu Calhoun, each resulting in a 10 to 15 yard loss as time ran out.

The victory gave the Jackets a 4-3 record in the Empire Football League — their third straight win, and their first win over Watertown since 2011.
